Mcloughlin Scar Tissue Release

Is Scar Tissue holding you back?

                          Your scars are my concern

As I am keenly interested what may lay behind your health problems I have undertaken additional training in this specialised form of Scar Tissue Work

MSTR is an innovative, pain free, natural method of helping with your scars.

Gentle, finger tip pressure is applied to the area to help free the restrictions in the scar.  No force is involved and the work is always applied within your tolerance

The effects of scars on our body cannot be underestimated, although they frequently are.

What scars can do to us........

The body forms scar tissue as a natural response to trauma when the skin is punctured or lacerated either by accident or purposefully – i.e. surgery. Collagen is laid down in the repair process which results in a thickened, fibrous mass which impedes the proper circulation of blood and congests lymph flow.

As the scar is fibrous and non-elastic it will have a dragging and pulling effect on the surrounding tissues, including joints. This will be experienced as a restricted range of motion, where greater than usual force needs to be applied in order to move the affected joint or joints

Surrounding tissues and structures may experience the following symptoms and effects:

  • Numbness

  • Tingling

  • Pain

  • Burning

  • Itching

  • Hypersensitivity

  • Muscle and tissue wastage (atrophy)

  • Postural distortion

  • Reduced range of motion

  • Loss of flexibility

  • Feeling of coldness

  • Feeling of ‘disconnection’ between lower and upper parts of the body

  •  These symptoms may persist for decades after surgery with the loss of sensation being an ongoing experience to the patient that interferes with daily life.

Treatment of your scar is vital!

According to research, if a scar is left untreated it may make other therapeutic interventions less effective or not last as long.

Even though your scar may be many years old, this may be the release your body has been searching for.

There is a general acceptance by people that the scar will never change and that normal feelings or sensations in the scar and surrounding tissues will never return…this doesn’t have to be the case.

McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release is a simple but profound technique that will gently bring flexibility back to the layers of collagen bringing long lasting improvement.
